Summary

FireMon is pleased to provide this overview of the new features and enhancements made for this Asset Manager 4.11 release, which is recommended for all users. 

FireMon Asset Manager Edition 4.11  

The upgrade file is now available in FireMon User Center > Downloads.

The supported upgrade path to Command Center 4.11 are from the 4.9.0.0, 4.9.0.1, and 4.10 versions.

For the upgrade procedure, see Upgrading Asset Manager. 

We recommend upgrading your Scouts whenever you upgrade your Command Center. However, Scouts 4.9.x and 4.10.x are compatible with the Command Center's 4.11 version

Database Schema

The database schema provides a visual representation of the database. You can request the 4.11 database schema from Asset Manager Support.

CLI Commands

The Asset Manager CLI is a powerful hierarchical menu-driven interface that provides virtually all administrative functionality in the browser interface.

Security Updates & STIG 

4.11 resolves Common Vulnerabilities & Exposures (CVEs) and incorporates a variety of security-related (and non-security-related) enhancements. See Security Advisories 4.11 for a list of CVEs resolved in this release. 

Highlights

Profiling and Inferences Enhancements

  • Significant work was done on our profiling and inferences to improve performance and easily view all information that went into defining a device.

External Web Services Enhancements

  • Significant work was done on our Integrations to improve performance. We added support for Access/Secret Key authentication, among other authentication types, for Customizable third-party integrations.  Users can create their own Integration Connections.

RPMS Updates

  • Updated RPMS based on scanner detections of known CVEs.

Qualys Enhancements

  • Now able to differentiate between two Command Centers writing to the same Qualys Server.

  • New option to ingest Qualys Device Information into Asset Manager., and easily view Qualys metrics like sensor updated and asset creation date.

Asset Manager 4.11.0.1 Maintenance Release

Release Date: 1 Mar 2024

This maintenance release includes the following enhancements:

  • Added Meraki API Version 1.43.0 support. 

    • Use the Management Station Devices Report to easily view your Meraki devices.

    • Easily view Network IDs, Interface Information, Serial Number, Device Types, etc of your Meraki devices from the Asset Manger UI.

  • Fixed an issue with the AD User being unable to log back in when LDAP was previously enabled. 

NOTE: Upgrade requires to be on 4.11.0.0.
